Jonathan Matloff

Jonathan is a performing and recording drummer based in northern Virginia. 

Since 2020, Jonathan has performed and recorded drums for award-winning country/Americana singer-songwriter Melissa Quinn Fox, providing rhythmic support at hundreds of appearances up and down the East Coast, from country music festivals in New Jersey and South Carolina to summer town concerts, private events, and breweries and wineries across the mid-Atlantic region.  He can be heard on Melissa's song "Crime", (Best Country/Americana Song, 2024 DC Wammie Awards) among other tracks. He has performed and recorded with various other rock, jazz,  and worship groups in the DC. area.

A Massachusetts native,  Jonathan credits his private studies with Boston-area jazz drummer Gene Roma and Berklee professor Skip Hadden as highly formative experiences. A big believer in continuous learning, he remains a humble student of the instrument.

Jonathan lives in Loudoun County, Virginia with his wife Leslie (his tour and wardrobe manager).
